In conjunction with D’Home’s 20th Anniversary, we are going to organize a fundraising charity carnival on the 3rd December 2023. There are a lot of programmes and activities in store. Come…. Come and participate in this Carnival by registering yourself for this year end event.
For over 20 years, Persatuan Minda D’Home has provided vital mental health services to our community completely free of charge. Our mission has always been to support those struggling with mental illness, increase understanding, and create a more compassionate society.
At the heart of our work is the belief that mental health is a basic human right. We strive to help people cope with life’s challenges, realize their full potential, and contribute to the community – regardless of their circumstances. Through open communication and building resilience, our goal is to dispel stigma and prevent isolation.
Too often, cries for help go unheard as mental illness can lead to hidden suffering worse than physical pain. That is why D’Home was established – to act as a guiding light for those in their darkest moments. Our services offer hope and meaning to those impacted by challenges like depression, delusions, and suicidal thoughts.
Expanding Our Reach
To continue this life-changing work, we are seeking to upgrade our facilities and sheltered workshop (Employment Transition Program) space. This project is essential for a few reasons:
To provide clients with a creative outlet, a way of communication, and a boost in self-esteem by allowing the clients to feel good about doing something nice for themselves or others.
To help clients gain leadership skills by guiding other clients.
To teach clients about entrepreneurship by selling pastries, artwork, etc., the products they make as well as fruits and vegetables gathered from D’Home garden.
To encourage clients to participate in activities that allow them to interact more in society as part of their transition to normalcy.
